These are inspired by the coast near to where I live. We get spectacular sunsets, and they are just magical. I paint these spontaneously, aiming to capture the mood and delight of these beautiful views.
I really enjoy painting atmospheric, moody or stormy skies. The weather has so much energy, and the contrasting light and dark creates dramatic views.
Bright and vibrant colours await. I often sketch on the beach and enjoy capturing people milling about, swimming, sunbathing and chatting.
